Biatec Race
Biatec Race - European Teamspirit Run is a special brand of relay races for teams with 6 to 12 members.
This brand is a guarantee of amazing experiences and great organization on local production level.
Name Biatec Race comes from a Celtic coin, which was found in Bratislava. This coin is a little mystery since the meaning of "biatec" has not yet been explained.

From Tatras to the Danube Race is a non-stop race, ran in, both day and night. The main idea is, that all teams are responsible for themselves and runners, who aren't running at the time, transport by cars. They are an essential part of your team. Each team must provide their own cars.
Teams are permitted 2 vehicles max. These vehicles must be marked throughout the entire race. The labels you use are not transferable.
The organizer recommend to use two 9-passenger vans, which provide smooth transport and give you enough space throughout the entire duration of the race. You would, of course, fit into smaller cars, however, not all of these smaller cars provide the comfort you're going to need.

In order for all runners to be fully prepared prior to the start of the race, the organizers recommend teams to secure over-night accommodation for the whole team in Demanovska Dolina for the Friday night. We also recommend this option as runners can attend briefing on Friday evening and get fresh info about the course etc. This is not compulsory, however and for the regular start of the race the team must only ensure the start of the first runner.
EACH TEAM BOOKS THEIR ACCOMODATION AT THEIR OWN EXPENCE.
Note from the organizer:
Teams with their average 10 km time under 48 minutes, will, probably, start after 12 am, so, these teams don't have to book accommodation on Friday.

Each team must be an independent unit during the whole run. Hand-over points are the only place where the runners come into contact with the organizers. Therefore, each runner must wear an appropriate equipment during the run and the team must secure hydration and food independantly. The moment your team is complete, have a team meeting and divide all the responsibilities among yourselves.
Make sure you know what to do:
- if a runner gets to the hand-over point but nobody is waiting to take over the relay
- if your car or your runner gets lost
- when you need to refuel
- when you need to eat, what food and drink to take with you
- what clothes to take, you have to be prepared for any kind of weather
- where the second car stops and rests
- if there is an emergency e.g. medical
- when you're running through the night
- when organizing your preparation for the race
- about communication between your team cars
Some sections have poor reception. One person should take care of the phones. It is important to have all the numbers of your team members along with the important numbers from the organizers in every single car. Make sure your phone batteries are charged before the race. It would be best if you had numbers from different service providers.
During the night part of the race, the organizer will provide a place to sleep and showers. There will be parking areas or toilets at each of the hand-over points. Please, follow all the instructions you are given. And forget about rest – you can bring your own sleeping bags and sleeping pads, to be more comfortable.
